Kaiya's First Day of 2nd Grade

My baby girl is growing up so fast.  For my birthday this year, Kaiya started her first day of second grade.  I'm not as sad and teary-eyed about it as I thought I would be.  She still feels like my baby girl.  The strange thing is that I have quiet vivid childhood memories of 2nd grade and I remember feeling like such a big girl with so many independent thoughts.  Has my little girl really grown that much?  Hard to believe…here's to another school year!
